Benjamin M. Shambaugh, 36, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2021. He was born February 21, 1984 in Harrisburg, PA to parents Michael and Patricia Shambaugh. Ben attended Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School, where he participated in the wrestling and diving programs. An avid outdoorsman, he could often be found fishing, camping, and engaged in amateur herpetology. He enjoyed attending dirt track races, riding motorcycles, drawing, creating terrariums, and spending time with his daughter.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved daughter Delilah Shambaugh; sister Jill Shambaugh; three aunts, Sally Shambaugh, Linda Marrero and her husband Randy, Jan Kirkley and her husband Paul; four uncles Gerald Shambaugh, Larry Shambaugh and his wife Dixie, Ronald Shambaugh, Steven Beam and his wife Jacqueline; and cousins Sean Shambaugh, Spencer Shambaugh, Tiffany Knapp, Dakota Marrero, Sam Marrero, Brent Shambaugh, Jake Shambaugh, Jen Lewis, Chris Shambaugh, Katie Spies, Sarah Music, Rebekah Andreu, Steve Beam, and David Beam. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Clyde and Diane Beam, and paternal grandparents Paul and Laura Shambaugh.
Memorial services will be held at the Peace Garden of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM. There will be no viewing or visitation.
