CATHERINE LOUISE SOUDERS

 Catherine Louise ”Kate” Souders ,92 of Carlisle, passed away at UPMC Carlisle on February 6, 2025.

 Born September 26, 1932 in Walnut Bottom, she was the daughter of the late Paul A. and Ardella M. (Lindsay) Reichel. She was the widow of Harry A. Souders Sr. who passed on December 1, 1965. 

 She was preceded in death by her son Harry A. Souders, Jr. and daughter Judy Ann Dougherty.

 Catherine was retired from Bell Telephone where she was the Cafeteria Manager. She also worked at KFC. 

 In her spare time she enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, and was an avid tennis player She had a love for NASCAR and watching it on TV. She took pride in her family and cooking for them. 

Surviving are her daughter in-law Donna Souders of MIllerstown and her grandchildren, Shawn (Audra) Rhodes of Florida, Jeremiah Hunt of Carlisle and Danielle (John) Krodel of Elizabethtown. Also surviving are great-grandchildren: Ethan, Meghan, Tayte and Lucas. 

 Funeral services will be private at Westminster Cemetery.
