CHARLES C. GALASPY, JR.

Charles C. Galaspy, Jr, 82, of Carlisle, passed away suddenly on April 27, 2019 at M. S. Hershey Medical Center.

Born January 15, 1937 in Adams County, he was the only child of Charles C. Galaspy, Sr. and Greta (Hockenberry) Galaspy.

Mr. Galaspy retired after 35 years of service from Bethlehem Steel, Steelton.

He was a member of Victory Tabernacle, Carlisle and attended Midway Pentecostal Church, Carlisle.

He and his wife undertook many mission trips to Mexico and spent 25 years ministering to the Aztecs.

He was preceded in death by a grandson:  Steven Sheaffer, who was killed in action in 2005 while serving with the U. S. Navy.

Surviving are his wife:  Deloris (Wilson) Galaspy; two daughters:  Sherri Lamprey (Tim) of Florida and Victoria Galaspy of North Carolina; a son:  David Galaspy (Kim) of Biglerville and seven grandchildren: Alan, Jeremy, Tabitha, Kristen, Amanda, Charles and Ashtynn.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 1:30 PM  from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle, with Pastor Glenn Yohn officiating.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 12:30 PM until time of service.  Burial will be in Big Rock Cemetery.
