Charles Schubauer

CHARLES R. SCHUBAUER, JR.

Charles R. Schubauer, Jr., 83, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Shippensburg Health Care Center.

Born March 26, 1937 in Harrisburg, he was the oldest child of Charles R. Sr., and Claire (Manley) Schubauer.

Mr. Schubauer honorably served his country in the U S Army.

He owned and operated Schubauer’s Garage in Harrisburg for 25 years.  He then worked at Lebo’s Garage, Carlisle and also volunteered at the Salvation Army.  He was a member of the VFW.

He was preceded in death by a brother:  Bob and a sister:  Joan Keller.

Surviving are his twin sister:  Claire Espland of Millersburg and two brothers:  Ron of Carlisle and Walt of Palmyra.

Services will be at the discretion of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
