CHRISTINE E. MARSTELLER

Christine E. Marsteller, 54, of Manchester, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the Harrisburg Hospital.

Born August 26, 1962, she was a daughter of Beverly (Gorsuch) Bishop of Carlisle and the late Leroy F. Bishop.

Mrs. Marsteller was a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, Class of 1981 and the Cumberland Perry VoTech, Class of 1981, where she studied automobile mechanics.  She then graduated from Vale Technical Institute in Blairsville with an Associate’s Degree in Automobile Mechanics.  She competed in several beauty pageants and held various titles.

She was the owner of Green Valley Formals, Manchester and was attending St. Paul United Methodist Church, Manchester.

Christine was preceded in death by her father and a son;  Nathan L. Marsteller.

Surviving in addition to her mother is her husband of 34 years:  John W. Marsteller, Jr. of Stewartstown; a son:  Jeromy W. Marsteller and a daughter:  Heather M. Grove, both of Stewartstown;  three sisters:  Tammy Bishop of Carlisle; Deborah Anderson of Texas and Kathryn Glessner of Newville; two grandchildren:  Ava and Austin.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P. M. on Friday, May 5, 2017 from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle, with the Rev. Dr. Eddie D. D. Miller, officiating.  Burial will follow in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  Viewings will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 P. M. - 8:00 P. M. and also on Friday from 12:30 P. M. until time of service.
