DWAYNE E. RHOADES

Dwayne E. Rhoades, 78, of Carlisle, died at home on April 20, 2018 with his family by his side after a short, intense battle with cancer.

Born June 1, 1939 he was the son of Nerine (Weibley) Rhoades of Carlisle and the late Joseph Rhoades.

He had been employed at both Ralston Purina and Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community, from which he retired.

Dwayne enjoyed feeding and watching wildlife in his back yard and was avid about landscaping “his yard.”

Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife:  Ann (Beard) Rhoades; two daughters:  Ruth Hurston (husband David) of Carlisle and Joann Beecher (husband Jim) of Carlisle; three sons:  Earl Rhoades (wife Robbin) of Newville; Bob Rhoades (wife Brenda) of Watertown, NY and Eric Rhoades (wife Nancy) of Branchburg, NJ; two brothers;  Dwight and Steve Rhoades, both of Carlisle; numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at 6:00 P. M. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle, PA.
