EVELYN M. RYNARD
Evelyn M. (Rourke) Rynard, 89, of Carlisle, died Saturday, February 14, 2015 in the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
Born February 21, 1925 in Broad Top City, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Samuel E. and Gladslie M (Corrie) Rourke. She was the widow of Harold M. “Pompy” Rynard, Sr., who died April 14, 2012.
Mrs. Rynard was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Carlisle. She retired as an LPN from the former Carlisle Hospital. Earlier in her life she enjoyed cooking and baking for the Salvation Army Fall Festival.
She was preceded in death by her son: Harold M. “Ness” Rynard, Jr., and two grandsons: Anson and Adam Rynard.
Surviving are a son: Daniel Rynard of Glendale, AZ; a daughter Dawn Nguyen of Carlisle; a brother: Millard Rourke of Texas; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with the Very Rev. William C. Forrey, V.F. as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Carlisle. Viewing will be at the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle, on Thursday from 6-8 P. M. and also at the church on Friday from 10:00 A. M. until time of Mass.
