JUDY K. McNEW

Judy K. McNew, 67, of Carlisle, passed away on June 24, 2020 at Specialty Select Hospital, Harrisburg.

Born March 30, 1953 in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Merle K, Sr. and Hazel R. (Yarlett) Myers.

Survivors include two daughters:  Sabrina McNew of Chambersburg; Serena McNew of Dillsburg; a son:  Shawn McNew of New Cumberland; four sisters:  JoAnne Sanderson of Florida; Marie B. Dyarman and Joyce Shughart, both of Carlisle and Carol Reed of North Carolina; Grandchildren:  Searra McNew, Albany, NY, Celena  Johnson, Chambersburg and Aiden McNew, Dillsburg.

Our mom lost her battle with cancer and COPD, she spent her last days on and off a ventilator. She has been in the hospital for 6 months fighting hard, her hard fight came to an end on Wednesday June 24th at 10:22am.

She was the most loving mother and grandmother. She always went out of her way to help someone in need. She was always there when we needed her. She loved us and the grandkids so much. We all miss her greatly.

Our mom was an independent contractor for the last 35 years. She delivered Newspapers 7 days a week, in the rain, sleet and snow. She worked for the Carlisle Sentinel & for the Harrisburg Patriot News. Before her starting as an independent contractor delivering newspapers. She also worked at McCoy’s Electronics in Mt. Holly Springs PA.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 11:00 A. M.  from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle.  Viewing will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 A. M.   until time of service.  Burial will be private.
