Margaret Harr, 78, of Carlisle, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born May 25, 1932 in Cumberland, MD, she was the only child of Roy L. and Marianna (Frantz) Gross. She was the widow of Kenneth M. Harr who died Jan. 6, 1998.
Mrs. Harr was a graduate of Fort Hill High School and earlier in life had worked as a beautician. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post #8851, Boiling Springs. She was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are two daughters: Mary Varner and Anita Corica (and her husband, C. Mike); both of Carlisle and a son: Kevin Harr, also of Carlisle; two grandchildren; six step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 from the Adams Family Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland MD with the Rev. Wayne Turner officiating. Viewing will be at the Adams Funeral Home on Friday from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. Viewing will also be at the Ronan Funeral Home, Carlisle, Pa on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cumberland, MD.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Margaret’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
