Revenda R. Burdette

REVENDA R. BURDETTE 

 Revenda R. Burdette, 91 of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle.

 Born April 30, 1933 in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Norman Ocker, Sr. and Ruth (Koontz) Ocker. She was the widow of Samuel R. Burdette, Sr., who died November 28 1996.

 Mrs. Burdette was the owner of the former Wolfe’s Grocery Store in Carlisle. Revenda has also been briefly employed by Carlisle Poultry & Egg. She was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School Class of 1951 and a member of Hickorytown United Methodist Church.

 She was preceded in death by sisters: Helen Ocker, Claire Rowe, Esther Cassel and a brother: Norman Ocker, Jr.

 Surviving are a brother, Richard (Esther) Ocker of Carlisle and a sister, Faye (Jim) Hall of New Kingstown and 11 nieces and nephews

 Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11:00 A. M. from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 A. M. until time of service.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
