Robert Smith

Robert Henry Smith, 72 of Groton on Hudson, NY, died March 16, 2020 at his residence.

Born April 4, 1947 in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Robert S. And Mary A. (Porter) Smith.

Mr. Smith was a retired Sergeant with the NYPD Housing Authority.  He honorably served his country in the U S Air Force during Vietnam.

He was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class of 1964.

Surviving are a daughter:  Linnea Smith of Stroudsburg, PA; a granddaughter:  Zaria M. Gentry of Stroudsburg; a brother:  Benjamin Smith of Harrisburg; three sisters:  Mildred Smith of Mechanicsburg; Melanie McCaffrey and Madenna L. Smith, both of Harrisburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Due to the ongoing health crisis, memorial services will be scheduled at a later date, with burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Ronan Funeral Home, Carlisle, is handling arrangements.
