TRACEY E. DOHERTY
Tracey E. Doherty, 57, of Mechanicsburg, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, Harrisburg.
Born July 24, 1959 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of John “Jack” and Elaine (Hoover) Van Horn of Mifflintown.
Tracey was a graduate of East Juniata Joint High School and Lebanon Valley College. She was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs.
An avid walker, she also enjoyed knitting and reading.
Tracey was employed at Mountz Jewelers, which she considered her second family.
Surviving, in addition to her parents are her son: Iain Larry Ferguson of Carlisle; her loving partner: Michael Shambaugh of Mechanicsburg; her friend, walking partner, confidant and friend: Lucette Pushart Rice of Carlisle; two sisters: Michele (Kelby) Leonard of Thompsontown and Nicole (Jari) Whitesel of Mifflin; three brothers: Craig (Dana) Van Horn of Mifflintown; Matt (Lisa) Van Horn of Mifflintown and Andy (NadineThome) Van Horn of Mt. Joy; 9 nieces and 5 nephews and one great nephew.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00 A. M. from Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 325 Old Stonehouse, S., Boiling Springs, with the Rev. Deborah L. Brumbaugh, her pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 7-9 PM at the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle and also at the church on Saturday 1 hour prior to the service.
