WILLIAM C. DURHAM
William "Bill" Clayton.Durham, 80, of South Middleton Township passed away at home on February 5, 2025.
Born October 11, 1944 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late L.Clayton and Beulah Elizabeth (Thomas) Durham, and husband of Linda K. (Barrick) Durham for 56 years.
Bill was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and friend to all. He enjoyed the outdoors and flyfishing. Many an hour was spent particularly along the "Breeches" with his fellow fishing friends, either fishing or just talking and enjoying good companionship.
Bill retired as a Capital Police Sgt. and was formerly an officer with Harrisburg City Police. He was a Life member of the NRA and FOP Lodge #85. He was also a member of AARP, Trout Unlimited, Yellow Breeches Anglers and an original board member of the Rivers Conservation & Fly Fishing Youth Camp and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cheyenne.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Scott David Durham (Kim) of Waynesboro, Terrence William Durham of Mechanicsburg, and Eric Michael Durham (Stacy) of Mt. Holly Springs. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Heather, Scott Jr, Dalton, Logan, Faith and Ashley and 8 great-grandchildren.
Due to weather considerations services will be held at the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Casual dress is requested. Burial will be private.
