LYNN A. RONAN

LYNN A. RONAN

Funeral Director/Crematory Specialist

Lynn is a lifelong resident of the Carlisle area. After graduating from Boiling Springs High School in 1980, he continued his education at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Sciences in 1984. He then attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, graduating in 1985. He has been licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 1987. Lynn is active in the community where he serves on the Board of Directors of Mt. Zion Cemetery at Churchtown, Inc. Lynn is also an Eagle Scout from Troop 171 in Boiling Springs and is a member of the Order of the Arrow. He has rejoined the Scouting program as an adult leader, as he helps his sons attain their Eagle rank. His professional memberships include  the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and the Capital City Funeral Directors Association, where he currently serves as Secretary. Lynn is a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs where he has served on the Church Council and the Worship Committee. He is also a member of Carlisle Lodge #260 F& AM.(formerly Cumberland Star Lodge #197 ) and was a member of the Carlisle Chapter of the Order of DeMolay. Prior to opening the Ronan Funeral Home in 1996, Lynn had been associated with several funeral homes in Central Pennsylvania. He is married to the former Sherry Capello and has three children.

Office Administrator/Crematory Specialist (deceased 2021)

Sherry is a native of Steelton, Dauphin County. She is a graduate of Steelton-Highspire High School and prior to the opening of Ronan Funeral Home was employed in the private sector. Sherry is a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs and was the President of Carlisle Area Mothers of Multiples.

FRANK JACKSON

Staff Assistant (Unlicensed)/Crematory Specialist

Frank recently retired from R&N Electric in Mechanicsburg. He is a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Carlisle, where he serves on the Board of Deacons. He and his wife Linda live in Mt. Holly Springs and have two grown children and several grandchildren.

RICHARD SNYDER

Staff Assistant (Unlicensed)

Dick is retired from the former AMP, Inc. and is a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Boiling Springs and St. John's Lodge #260 F&AM. Dick is also a licensed Auctioneer in Pennsylvania and in his spare time enjoys landscaping.

GERRY RONAN

Administrative Assistant (Deceased 2016)

Gerry is a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and Dickinson College where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs.

WILLIAM R. RONAN

Staff Assistant (Unlicensed) Deceased 2013

Bill is a lifelong Carlisle area resident, has been married to the former Geraldine Snook for 50 years and is the father of Lynn. He is a graduate of Carlisle High School and was employed at the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot for 42 years. He is a US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. Bill was a member of the Boiling Springs Lions Club and is a member and Past Master of Cumberland Star Lodge #197 F&AM, Carlisle. He was also a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs, where he has served on the Church Council and numerous committees. In 2005 Bill received the Melvin Jones award, Lionism's highest award for dedication and service to Lionism. He was also a past Scoutmaster of Troop 171 in Boiling Springs and was privileged to be the Scoutmaster when both of his sons received their Eagle Scout rank.

STAFF ASSISTANT

Morgen is a 2024 graduate of Boiling Springs High School.  He has been assisting at the funeral home since he was a child.  He is a volunteer firefighter with Citizens Fire Company, Mt. Holly Springs.  Morgen will be furthering his education by attending mortuary school to obtain his Funeral Director's License.
